At present employee satisfaction is something a company would desperately need. Because employees are the ones who are actually working to make the plans turn into reality. And at the end of the day, the success of the company depends on how sincerely the employees work.
It’s a great accomplishment for a company if the employees feel privileged to work in a company in true sense. It happens only when an employee is appreciated for the hard work and dedication and encouraged by the management to share personal and professional issues. The company should focus on provide training to the workers. And along with that help them to develop and have opportunities that offer different grounds of satisfaction.
It is important to create an idea that their life is in good track and can only improve vastly from here. And the improvement lies at their will power to do it. This type of motivation works wonders and brings out the best of employees in everyday work. If this happens then the company is likely to obtain great growth speed and surely the price being paid is too little.
The next best thing to do is forming a strong and positive relationship with the employees and between the employees. The company should arrange things like Employee Ambassador Program or personal interactive sessions to develop a strong relationship. The idea is to make them feel that they belong to a group.
The corporate business world might be very fast and busy. But finding out little time after every weekend to get all the management and employees together and in an informal atmosphere would help the cause a great deal. This enhances the company spirit.
The incentive and reward process also works as far as motivating employees is concerned. It is not necessary that it has to be money. Money is only an option but the main idea is to make the employee feel appreciated and recognized for his work. This leads to a motivated work force which is likely to pull out the best for the company. It is also suggested to allow the employees to take part in decision making process and share their ideas for the betterment of the company. And company must ensure that the ideas are respected and appreciated.





It is a very common practice in majority of the business companies that managers work more than the employees. A manager works for at least 12 hours a day whereas an average employee works for 8 hours at best. Now we all know that managers do get paid more than their subordinates. But is the extra payment good enough and can it justify the extra amount of effort that the manager puts in? I would say the answer in NO. If you calculate and bring down the yearly salary of a manager to an hourly basis, you will find out that, a manager’s hourly income is less than that of a normal employee. Because the manager is not getting paid at the same hourly basis scale as the subordinates are. This was the mathematics. But it’s not the only angle to look at this issue. Managers work from early morning to late night. This causes a severe lack of sleep and can affect the health and mind negatively. And to cure these problems they end up spending half of their money at the doctor’s place. Moreover, the job stress and tension does not help their cause. To add to this, their personal life gets the worst possible shape as the wives of managers have a zillion complains about them not sharing enough time with her or the children. Again, the job stress that leads to sleeplessness causes inefficiency. It hampers decision making and thereby affects the performance. When that happens, managers never find a scarcity of people to question their ability and loyalty. So in a nutshell, managers losing their sanity for getting the job done for a company and in the process, getting cursed by the higher authority. If you are a manager and you are a victim of this situation, then the best thing to do is delegate your authority. Trusting your subordinates is very important. You need to share your workload with them and relax a bit. If you are not confident about them, then train them. Share your knowledge with them. Let them take a few decisions. This will help them to grow as a responsible subordinate and will also give you more time to spend with your family. Try to decrease your working hours and if you act smart you can get your job done by working 2 hours less every day. Try to do that and you might get your job and salary justified.
